Pretty Darn impressive… Machu Picchu

DSC_4857 DSC_4859 DSC_4861 DSC_4933 DSC_4946 DSC_4955 DSC_4973 Machu Picchu was not a summer home for the Incans but an administrative  center between the jungle and the Andes. It was abandoned because of disease and problems with the jungle and they felt the Gods were did not want them there anymore as evidenced from all the problems they had.DSC_4978 DSC_4992 DSC_4993 DSC_4982Incan stone put together with no mortar. Still standing and functioning waterfalls. We have a “stone mason with us and he said with today’s technology this is nearly impossible.DSC_4971 DSC_4975 DSC_4981 DSC_5006 DSC_5051 DSC_5060 after visiting Machu Picchu we had extra time so we traded our bus tickets and walked down 1.5 hours to the train. There was a pretty nice trail for us and the locals.DSC_5063 DSC_5073 DSC_5015 DSC_5089

Looking at those legs makes me glad I'm not there! I'm jealous of the nice weather, though!
